Retford FC has successfully completed the signing of 19-year-old attacking midfielder Archie White from Buxton FC.
This season, White has been playing for Buxton FC in the National League North. He also had a brief stint with Long Eaton United in the NPL Midlands league.
Prior to joining Buxton, White was a professional player at Chesterfield FC, where he has a good reputation.
“I’ve had good reports on Archie’s progress and when the opportunity arose to bring him to the club, I didn’t hesitate. He’s been playing in Buxton’s first team this season and has been at Long Eaton - both from a higher level and he’s done well, he’ll be a perfect fit for our squad as we approach the crucial Christmas period.”

On a different note, as Archie arrives, we bid farewell to Matt Robinson, who has decided to move on.
“I want to extend my best wishes to Matt for the future. I want to thank him for his dedication during his time at Retford FC. Although he didn’t get many opportunities this season, he leaves with our best wishes.”
Robinson made a total of 63 appearances and scored 7 goals during his time at the SL2 Rail Stadium.
