Congratulations to Jack Johnson who will complete 250 appearances for the Choughs at the game against Rainworth Miners Welfate FC on Saturday afternoon.
The club will be holding “JJ Day” with a presentation just before kick off to be made to Jack to celebrate this milestone.
Johnson, 32, played his first game for the Choughs in our inaugural season, a scoring debut against Askern FC with a goal in a 4-0 win on 19th April 2016.
Since then, he has gone on to reach this momentous milestone being one of the ever dependable players in the squad amassing 43 goals over the last eight years and achieving promotion to the NCEL with the club in the 2018/19 season. One of those 43 goals fans will remember came in a 5-1 home win against Retford United at the end of the promotion season.
Manager Chris Woodhead praised the midfielder on his commitment to the club, “JJ has been phenomenal for us as the club. He’s always one of the first names on the team sheet and has led the club as Captain. His attitude and work ethic is second to none and I can only praise him for his loyalty to the club and wish him many more appearances to come.”
